The course is run as an intensive course, as well as having both individual weekday and weekend options. This is to ensure the course delivers the best commercial results as well as delivering a solution that fits in with your life. . The course is now assessed through a series of assignments during the course. The assignments are designed to cover all of your knowledge through both practical skills and theoretical knowledge which has been gained both on site and through distance learning. You practical skill assessments look at ensuring you can consider and act appropriately around the Health and Safety of the animals and people who you come into contact with be it the staff, customer or other students. You will also be assessed on your grooming ability as well as understanding how a salon runs day to day. Finally to achieve your City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming there is also a written assessment which can be taken at one of two points during the year.

How Long Does It Last?
City & Guilds requires 300-guided learning hours to complete the training. Our course is 25 days of practical learning in our academy salon as well as distance learning. Our distance learning is a range of online learning modules, we want to make sure you are not only a fantastic groomer but also that your knowledge is first class.
